The Shops at Riverwoods is at the center of the Riverwoods Community, a village containing of retail space, 143 residences, retail, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The Shops opened 8 August 1998 with a number of national retailers who have since left: Eddie Bauer, Copeland Sports, Gap, Banana Republic, Abercrombie & Fitch Co., and Ann Taylor. The development is set in a riverfront environment designed to be community-centered. The Shops At Riverwoods have received various awards including, but not limited to: The Reed Smoot Beautification Award in 2006, The Grand Invision Utah Award in 2001, and The National Concrete Award in 1998. The shopping center was originally owned by Terranet Investments LLC; however, on 25 September 2009 Tigriswoods, LLC purchased The Shops from Bank of America after a foreclosure. When ownership of The Shops changed, Tigriswoods broke ground on an eight-week construction project that made the shopping center 100-percent pedestrian friendly by eliminating the drive-through sections on the east and north ends of The Shopps complete with multi-seasonal amenities for the shopping center’s patrons. Outdoor heaters, seating areas, water and fire features, and a stage area for entertainment have been built in the space around the shopping center. Provo Beach Resort, a entertainment center with mini golf and a surfing machine, now occupies the former Copeland Sports location. The property was designed by San Francisco-based Field Paoli Architects, which was awarded the 2001 Superior Achievement in Design & Imaging (SADI) for its design work on the project in the category of New or Renovated Open Centers. The Shops also feature sculptures by James C. Christensen. ==References== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「The Shops at Riverwoods」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
